It’s official.
I’m crazy!
Okay, maybe not crazy per se, but I finally have an official diagnosis and not just one I created using my Google Medical Degree (more about that later).
So, on Tuesday, I went in to visit with a psych nurse at a local, well, shrink’s office to discuss my issues. Every since my appointment, friends and family both have been asking, with trepidation, “How was it?”
How was it?
It was fucking awesome!
Now this might come off a little narcissistic, but I had a blast talking about myself for a whole hour. To someone that actually cared! Totally awesome.
She recommended a medicine change, some vitamin supplements and going to see a local therapist for coping mechanisms, etc. and I am so totally excited to blabber on about myself! There must be something wrong with me if I’m that excited for therapy, right?
Anywho, now that I have an official crazy person diagnosis, I thought: What better way to celebrate than with a giveaway!!
You may remember a few weeks back I had a prize that included a Trio of Philosophy 3-in-1 Bubble Bath/Car Wash/Antifreeze or whatever. Well, the winner of that contest was gracious enough to not make me spend eight million dollars on shipping (apparently she lives in Antartica or some shit), so I still have a super cool prize to give away!
Here’s the deal:
I have been diagnosed with two psychiatric “conditions”, if you will. The person the guesses closest which two I suffer from will win the Trio of Philosophy Goodies! If there are more than one correct guessers, I’ll pick randomly from the correct answers. The contest will end Tuesday, so you have plenty of time to Google and WebMD my crazies for some answers! (Sissy and Jennie don’t get to play since they already know the answer!)

Without the help of Google or WebMD, I’m going out on a limb and guessing OCD, and anxiety? I almost went with ADD or tourettes (based solely on your self professed addiction to the potty mouth

okay, i dont want to be all greedy since i won the Cutest Dress Evar from your other giveaway, but I do want to venture a guess…
I am going to guess primary: Generalized Anxiety Disorder; secondary: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Or maybe that’s my diagnosis?
Dammit, Pearl! Those were my guesses. I guess I’ll go for something else just for funsies. Generalized Anxiety Disorder is indisputable, but for crazy #2, I’ll go with…let’s say…hmm…how about Depression. Everyone has that, right?
Your blogs make me laugh everyday…I say Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD or ADD) with some generalized anxiety/OCD. You are addicted to TV and internet and which is a sympton in adults as well as some not being able to sit still hence ‘ADHD or ADD’ and anxiety because you like to let people know what’s on your mind but tend to hold back due to unknowning of people’s reaction hence ‘anxiety’.

Thats so crazy I just talked to my doctor about putting myself on the Prozac…. But the voices in my head said don’t take it…… hmmmm I should probably take it. Do you have PTSD?? I told my doctor that but he thinks I am generally crazy. But he is good guy. But On another note for those who don’t know that Philosophy stuff is awesome! Its really hard not to taste it because it smells so good.
First, thank you for suggesting we google the conditions as I have now diagnosed myself with 17 of them. Meds please! There are so many “fun” guesses available but I’m going to go with anxiety and panic disorder. Thanks for being open and honest about your health!

Social Anxiety Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I don’t think you are OCD or have ADD. What is weird is that the shrink diagnosed you by using a rectal thermometer….that I don’t understand.
Irritable bowl and stress
Okay, I am boinb to venture out on a limb and say Ulcerative Colitis and Anxiety/stress disorder AKA being the mother of a 2-year-old…..and maybe a bit of tourettes thrown in there!!
I like the long odds.
How about Hallucinogen-induced psychotic disorder, with delusions and…oh, let’s say Kleptomania.
(292.11 and 312.32 in the DSM-IV, if you want to be specific)
Adult ADHD and Anxiety Disorder
Guess #2, Anxiety and Avoidant Personality? I really don’t want the prize that badly it’s just that I enjoy trying to figure out what the hell you have going on.
Guess #1: OCD & Oppositional Defiance Disorder
Guess #2: Social Anxiety Disorder & Seasonsal Affect Disorder
Guess #3: Bipolar (Type II probably) & Borderline Personality Disorder
Guess #4: Panic Disorder & some sort of Phobia
I can’t imagine that you have a combination of ones that start with the same letter because every combination I come up with doesn’t seem to scream Mama Bee. I don’t know enough about you to call out PTSD or some other mood/mental disorder. All I can think of is that you’re staying in the personality disorder spectrum.
Oh well…can’t wait to find out what your armchair google searches have come up with and what the dr said.
