Free As A Bumble Bee

18 Jan

Well, ladies and gentleman, it’s about that time…

Some of you may be familiar with Arla-Shay, my lover from another mother…

Arla-Shay at the Glitter Party

Arla-Shay at the Glitter Party

I swear that she normally wears far less eyeshadow and glitter. And her eyes don’t normally glow red like the Devil either.

Her husband, on the other hand, totally has a mullet.

Well, Arla-Shay has started a new Etsy store that features her awesome knitting. Seriously, even though knitting is for, like, 80-year-olds, this girl can knit with the best of them! (I jest! I jest! I wish I had the skills to knit! I’m pretty sure I would just accidentally poke both my eyes out with those big needles if I ever picked them up…)

So in honor of her Etsy debut, Arla-Shay is giving away a pair of hand-knit pink & charcoal gloves, complete with the cute stringy thing that will make sure that little devils like Bee don’t lose them!

Pink and Charcoal Gloves

The Gloves In Action!

UPDATE: I just got word from Arla-Shay that she’ll knit a pair of mittens for a boy if you’d prefer!!

So here’s the dealio to enter in the contest…

Visit Arla-Shay’s Etsy Shop (click here) and post in the comment section of this post which item is your favorite! If you’d like, you can also comment about how adorable her glove models are…

For an additional entry, sign up to receive Mom to Bee in your inbox (click here). If you are already receiving Mom to Bee in your inbox, you already qualify for the extra entry!

For shits and giggles, we’ll keep the contest going until Thursday night, 8 p.m. PST. (’cause a girl needs to be free to watch her stories). I’ll post the winner first thing Friday morning!

Good luck!!

Who is that adorbale angel wearing the seafoam green gloves?? She is so beautiful and shows those mittens off so nicely! Even though the mittens sell themselves! I hope you are paying her a fortune!

She’s better than an 80 year old. I didn’t see one doily on the site. I really want the wristlet. So cute. And could keep my wrist warm too!

And here’s my extra entry. Just so you don’t get confused and try to screw me out of my mittens.

I thought those pillows were AWESOME! I loved the idea. And I am all about snuggling up to, well, anything. Congrats on the new Etsy store!!

I really like the evening wristlet. And the mittens, of course, which would get way more use since I don’t really go out in the evenings ;)

Great knitting! I love it. I, too, wish I had the patience for it.

We definitely need these mittens. Although we never get snow in Hawaii, they are great to catch those velcro balls with. No more chasing all over and reaching behind the sofa for the stray balls. Just toss and an automatic catch. Love Auntie Nanci

My toddler son would benefit from those warm gloves, he likes to wear gloves even in side the house! I personally would treasure such a unique and thoughtful hand crafted pair of gloves. I especially like the image of the pink gloves with the black back ground, its very professional and sheik. Soon all of Hollywood will want these for their young starletes.

The lady knows her knitting as well as she knows how to work a curling iron on her hot husband! Sharla is well known all over the world and here in Paris they can’t get enough of the scarf and hat she knit for me. (and these people know scarves! ;)

    Here’s my entry :)

I super duper heart the pillows.

My little S would love some boy mittens.
